On 3 September, Rajalakshmi Menon took over as Director General (Aero) of Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and has also been given additional charge of Director of Centre for Airborne Systems (CABS). 'Dr K Rajalakshmi Menon as Director General (Aero) will now be responsible for all the programmes under the Aero Cluster which will work under her creative leadership.' Menon started working in DRDO as Scientist-B in CABS (formerly ASWAC) in 1988 after doing MSc in Computer Science from Pune University.
