MPPSC Assistant Professor (Economics) Interviews Begin from 22 September 2025
The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) has officially commenced the interview process for the recruitment of Assistant Professors. Separate interview panels have been formed for the subjects of Sociology and Economics.
The interviews for the subject of Economics will start from 22nd September 2025. Online admit cards are being issued to the shortlisted candidates for the same.
Under the Assistant Professor Recruitment Exam 2022, the written exam for Economics was conducted last year. After nearly a year of waiting, MPPSC has now initiated the final interview phase for selected candidates. Due to the large number of applicants, two panels have been formed to conduct interviews efficiently.
As per the detailed September schedule released by the Commission, there are four interview sessions and two exams scheduled. According to officials, exams with fewer candidates might be held only in Indore to simplify logistics.
372 Candidates Shortlisted for 104 Economics Posts
MPPSC will proceed with interviews for Economics subject from 22nd September. A total of 372 candidates have been shortlisted for 104 vacancies in this subject. The category-wise breakup includes:
- 44 Unreserved
- 26 Scheduled Tribes (ST)
- 7 Scheduled Castes (SC)
- 20 Other Backward Classes (OBC)
- 7 Economically Weaker Section (EWS)
Candidates will be issued admit cards after 15th September. MPPSC has instructed all candidates to report at the Commission office at least one hour before their scheduled interview time.
