MPPSC Assistant Professor, Assistant Director, and Principal Interviews Scheduled for January

The long wait for interviews for candidates selected in the Assistant Professor examination conducted by the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) continues, as the dates have not yet been announced. 

Exam and Interview Updates

The MPPSC plans to hold a meeting in December to finalize the examination-interview schedule. As a result, candidates are unlikely to be called for interviews before January. For years, posts for Assistant Professors in government colleges have remained vacant. The MPPSC had advertised the recruitment in December 2022 for 1679 positions across 36 subjects.

Three-Phase Examination Process

The recruitment process was divided into three phases:

• Phase 1: Conducted on June 9 for 8 subjects with 826 positions.
• Phase 2: Conducted on August 4 for 8 subjects with 744 positions.

Over 55,000 candidates appeared for the exams in these two phases. Results for both phases were declared by November, and selected candidates were asked to submit their educational qualifications, certificates, and other documents for the interview process.

Results for the Third Phase

The third phase exam, conducted on November 17, included 20 subjects for 109 positions. Out of 3100 registered candidates, only 1200 appeared for the exam. Model answer keys for different subjects will be released starting December 5, and results are expected by the end of December. Shortly after, selected candidates will need to apply for interviews.

Interview Dates to Be Announced Soon

OSD Ravindra Panchbhai stated that interview dates will be decided in the coming weeks, and notifications will be released on the MPPSC portal. Candidates have expressed dissatisfaction as only written exams have been conducted over the past two years, with delays attributed to legal proceedings. Many candidates have urged the commission to expedite the interview process and issue appointments promptly.
