रेलवे – NTPC

• रेलवे में ग्रुप सी को नान टेक्नीकल पापुलर केटेगरी (एनटीपीसी) कहा जाता है। एनटीपीसी के अंतर्गत पदों की दो प्रकार की श्रेणियाँ होती हैं।

  1. अंडर ग्रेजुएट पोस्ट तथा 2. ग्रेजुएट पोस्ट।

• अंडर ग्रेजुएट पोस्ट के तहत जूनियर क्लर्क कम टाईपिस्ट, अकाउंट क्लर्क कम टाईपिस्ट, जूनियर टाईमकीपर, ट्रेन क्लर्क, कमर्शियल कम टिकट क्लर्क आदि पद होते हैं। इन पदों हेतु आयु सीमा 18 से 30 वर्ष निर्धारित है। शैक्षणिक योग्यता 12वीं उत्तीर्ण है।
• दूसरी श्रेणी ग्रेजुएट पोस्ट की होती हैं। जिसमें सहायक स्टेशन मास्टर, गुड्स गार्ड, सीनियर टाइमकीपर, टिकट कलेक्टर, ट्रैफिक असिस्टेंट, कमर्शियल अप्रैंटिस, जूनियर अकाउंट्स असिस्टेंट कम टाइपिस्ट, सीनियर कमर्शियल कम टाइपिस्ट आदि पद होते हैं। इन पदों हेतु आयु सीमा 18 से 33 वर्ष है। इन पदों हेतु शैक्षणिक योग्यता स्नातक है।

परीक्षा का पैटर्न

• एनटीपीसी के लिए दो चरणों में परीक्षा होती है। पहले चरण में 90 मिनट की पीटी-सीबीटी परीक्षा होती है। जिसमें सामान्य ज्ञान के 40 प्रश्न, गणित के 30 प्रश्न तथा जनरल इंटेलीजेंस तथा रीजनिंग के 35 प्रश्न होते हैं। यह परीक्षा कुल 100 अंकों की वस्तुनिष्ठ परीक्षा होती है। इस परीक्षा में निगेटिव मार्किंग होती है। इस परीक्षा में एक तिहाई अंक यदि प्रश्न गलत हो तो काट लिए जाते हैं।
• सीबीटी-1 परीक्षा क्वालीफाई करने वाले द्वितीय चरण की सीबीटी परीक्षा में बैठते हैँ। द्वितीय चरण की सीबीटी परीक्षा भी 90 मिनट की होती है। इस परीक्षा में सामान्य ज्ञान के 50, गणित के 35 तथा जनरल इंटेलीजेंस तथा रीजनिंग के 35 प्रश्न पूछे जाते हैं। यह परीक्षा कुल 120 अंकों की वस्तुनिष्ठ परीक्षा होती है।
• ट्रेफिक असिस्टेंट तथा स्टेशन मास्टर के पद के लिए कम्प्यूटर बैस्ड एप्टीट्यूट टेस्ट भी होता है। टाईपिस्ट के पदों के लिए टाईपिंग स्किल टेस्ट होता है। अंग्रेजी हेतु 30 शब्द प्रति मिनट तथा हिन्दी हेतु 25 शब्द प्रति मिनट की गति आवश्यक है। इसे उत्तीर्ण करने के बाद डाक्यूमेंट वेरिफिकेशन तथा मेडिकल परीक्षण होता है तथा उसके उपरांत नियुक्ति प्रदान कर दी जाती है।

रेलवे – NTPC

• Group C in Railways is called Non Technical Popular Category (NTPC). There are two types of categories of posts under NTPC.

  1. Undergraduate Post and 2. Graduate Post.

• Under undergraduate post, there are posts like Junior Clerk cum Typist, Account Clerk cum Typist, Junior Timekeeper, Train Clerk, Commercial cum Ticket Clerk etc. The age limit for these posts is 18 to 30 years. Educational qualification is 12th pass.
• The second category is of graduate posts. In which there are posts like Hike Station Master , Goods Guard , Senior Timekeeper, Ticket Collector , Traffic Assistant , Commercial Apprentice, Junior Accounts Assistant cum Typist, Senior Commercial cum Typist etc. The age limit for these posts is 18 to 33 years. The educational qualification for these posts is graduation.

Pattern of Exam

• There are two stages of examination for NTPC. The first stage is a CBT exam of 90 minutes. It has 40 questions of general knowledge, 30 questions of mathematics and 35 questions of general intelligence and reasoning. This exam is an objective test of total 100 marks. There is negative marking in this exam. In this exam, one-third marks are deducted if the question is wrong.
• Those who qualify the CBT- 1 exam appear for the second stage CBT exam. The second stage CBT exam is also of 90 minutes. In this examination, 50 questions are asked from General Knowledge, 35 from Mathematics and 35 from General Intelligence and Reasoning. This exam is an objective exam of total 120 marks.
• There is also a computer based aptitude test for the post of traffic assistant and station master. There is a typing skill test for the post of typist. The speed required is 30 words per minute for English and 25 words per minute for Hindi. After passing this, document verification and medical examination is done and after that appointment is given.
