PM Modi Inaugurates 6 Amrit Bharat Railway Stations in Madhya Pradesh

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated six Amrit Bharat railway stations in Madhya Pradesh through a virtual ceremony from Bikaner, Rajasthan. The stations include Shajapur, Katni South, Shridham, Narmadapuram, Seoni, and Orchha.
The redevelopment has been carried out to modern standards, enhancing passenger experience with improved safety, comfort, and facilities. These upgraded stations are also expected to boost regional tourism, business, and employment opportunities.
Key Highlights:
- Shajapur Station: Revamped at a cost of ₹13 crore, featuring local art and a 140 sqm art and culture zone.
- Narmadapuram Station: Redesigned on the ‘Narmada Theme’ with amenities like ramps for the disabled, wide FOB, and modern ticket counters. Total cost: ₹26 crore.
- Orchha Station: Designed to resemble the Ramraja Temple, incorporating traditional architecture and completed with religious iconography.
Deputy CM Rajendra Shukla, BJP President VD Sharma, and other officials were present during the inauguration events across different stations.
These projects are part of the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, aimed at transforming Indian Railways into a modern, inclusive, and cultural hub for the future.
