14 October India shows the way out to 6 diplomats including the Canadian ambassador, they will have to leave the country by this date

Relations between India and Canada seem to be deteriorating once again. India summoned the Canadian ambassador on 14 October. After this, India has decided to recall its High Commissioner from Canada. Canada had recently linked the Indian High Commissioner in the Nijjar murder case to the investigation of the alleged murder of Sikh separatist Hardeep Singh Nijjar. Canada has earlier also accused India in the Nijjar case. Last year also the relations between the two countries had deteriorated. Now again the Indian government has given a strong message to Canada. Canada has not yet presented any evidence in the Nijjar case. At the same time, Canada made serious allegations against the Indian High Commissioner. India also reacted sharply. The withdrawal of the Indian High Commissioner from Canada will mean that the diplomatic relations between the two countries have ended. The actions of the Trudeau government in the atmosphere of extremism and violence put the security of the Indian High Commissioner in danger. We have no confidence in the current Canadian government's commitment to ensure their safety. India had also summoned Canadian Ambassador Stewart Wheeler. The Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement, 'The Acting Ambassador of Canada was summoned this evening. The baseless targeting of the Indian High Commissioner and other diplomats and officials in Canada is completely unacceptable.' After meeting Wheeler, the Ministry of External Affairs said, 'In an atmosphere of extremism and violence, their security has been endangered by the actions of the Trudeau government. We have no confidence in the current Canadian government to ensure their safety. Therefore, the Government of India has decided to recall the High Commissioner and other diplomats and officials.' India has also decided to expel 6 Canadian diplomats. This includes Acting High Commissioner Stewart Ross Wheeler, Deputy High Commissioner Patrick Hebert, First Secretary Mary Catherine Jolie, Ian Ross David Trites, Adam James Chuipka and Paula Orjuela. Meanwhile, Canada has also ordered 6 Indian officials to leave the country. The Canadian government in its order has asked Indian High Commissioner Sanjay Kumar Verma and other top diplomatic officials in Toronto to leave the country.
