14-Year-Old Dhiniidhi Wins Three Golds, Sets Record

On January 29, 14-year-old Dhiniidhi Desinghu made a splash at the National Swimming Championship by winning three gold medals. Along with experienced Olympian Srihari Nataraj, Karnataka secured five gold medals, setting new records in various categories. This remarkable achievement highlights Karnataka's dominance in competitive swimming.

Rising star Dhiniidhi Desinghu shone brightly at the National Championship with her outstanding achievement of three gold medals. At just fourteen years of age, she triumphed in the women’s 200m freestyle, 100m butterfly, and 4x100m freestyle events, making a significant contribution to Karnataka's impressive medal tally.

Alongside her success, Olympic swimmer Srihari Nataraj also made waves by winning gold in the men’s 200m freestyle and men’s 4x100m freestyle events. His double victory underscored his position as a leading figure in Indian swimming and further cemented Karnataka’s dominance in the competition.

While Karnataka triumphed in most categories, it faced a rare challenge in the men’s 100m butterfly, where Tamil Nadu's Benedictson Rohit took the top spot. Nonetheless, Karnataka’s overall performance highlighted the state’s strength in competitive swimming.
