Assembly elections were held in Jammu and Kashmir after 10 years. Voting was held in three phases for 90 assembly seats in Jammu and Kashmir, while the results were declared on 8 October. Before taking oath, Omar Abdullah paid tribute to his grandfather late Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah at his tomb.
