The first session of the 18th Lok Sabha began in the third term of the Modi government. In this session, the focus will be on the oath taking of new MPs, the election of the Speaker and the actions of the opposition. The strength of the opposition has also increased, so the scene inside the House will also change. The Parliament session will begin from 24 June and continue till 3 July. There will be a total of 8 meetings in this 10-day session. There will be a holiday on 29 and 30 June.
President Draupadi Murmu administered the oath to Bhartruhari Mahtab as Protem Speaker (temporary Speaker of the Lok Sabha) at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. After this, Mahtab reached the Parliament House and the proceedings of the Lok Sabha were started.
