On June 26, the South American country Paraguay joined the International Solar Alliance (ISA). Paraguayan Ambassador Fleming Raul Duarte signed the treaty during a meeting with Abhishek Singh, head of the depositary and joint secretary in New Delhi.
The founders of ISA are Narendra Modi and former French President Francois Hollande.
ISA was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron.
This launch took place on 30 November 2015 during COP21 in Paris.
ISA is an international group, which includes countries located between the Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn.
Its objective is to bring change in the field of solar energy.
The headquarters of ISA is located in Gurugram, Haryana.
