₹29,540 Crore Approved for Pension, Roads, and Development Projects
In Madhya Pradesh, more than ₹29,540 crore has been approved for elderly pension schemes, construction of urban and rural roads, expansion of healthcare services, and irrigation facilities. The approval was given during a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav on May 11.
Along with this, approval was also given for the expansion of irrigation facilities through the Khuman Singh Shivaji Reservoir micro-irrigation project in Neemuch district. The proposal to increase the construction cost of MBBS, nursing, and paramedical colleges in Budni was also approved.
₹6,900 Crore for Urban and Rural Roads
The cabinet decided to continue urban and municipal road construction, upgradation, and strengthening projects until March 31, 2031. A total of ₹6,900 crore will be spent on this.
- ₹2,100 crore for new road construction and upgradation
- ₹4,800 crore for road strengthening works
Additionally, ₹6,116 crore will be spent to continue the Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension Scheme for the next five years.
