8 September - Navdeep Singh won the gold medal in the men's javelin throw F-14 event at the Paris Paralympics 2024.
Navdeep Singh of India won the gold medal in the men's javelin throw F41 category at the Paris 2024 Paralympics with a personal best throw of 47.32m to secure India's first medal in the category. Navdeep's medal-winning throw also surpassed the Paralympic record of 47.13m set by Sun Pengxiang of the People's Republic of China at Tokyo 2020. However, Sadegh Bet Sayah of the Islamic Republic of Iran beat the Indian athlete with a throw of 47.64m in his penultimate attempt to take the gold and the Games record, but was later disqualified.
