The Madhya Pradesh government has constituted a State Steering Committee under the Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (RGSA) Yojana by the Government of India, Ministry of Panchayati Raj, under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary to formulate appropriate strategy and policy for the implementation of the scheme, monitor the scheme and ensure transparency and accountability at all levels. The committee includes Agriculture Production Commissioner, Additional Chief Secretary and Principal Secretary Public Health and Medical Education, Planning and Economic Statistics, Science and Technology, Sports and Youth Welfare, Principal Secretary, Social Justice and Disabled Welfare, Women and Child Development, School Education, Finance, Director Panchayati Raj, Director General and Director State Rural Development Institute (SIRD), Additional and Joint Director Panchayati Raj Directorate, two special invitees with the approval of the Committee Chairman will be members of the committee. Additional Chief Secretary and Principal Secretary Panchayat and Rural Development will be the Member Secretary in the Committee.
