Anil Agarwal to Donate Over 75% of His Wealth for Social Causes
Billionaire industrialist and Vedanta Group Chairman Anil Agarwal has announced that he will donate more than 75 percent of his total wealth to social causes. In an emotional post, Agarwal revealed that this decision fulfills a promise he had made to his son Agnivesh Agarwal.
Agarwal stated that whatever wealth he has earned in his life will largely be dedicated to social welfare and public good. He added that after the untimely demise of his son, his resolve to contribute to society has become even stronger. He also expressed his intention to live a simpler and more meaningful life going forward.
Anil Agarwal is currently going through one of the most difficult phases of his life. The sudden death of his son Agnivesh in the United States deeply affected him emotionally. Agnivesh, aged 49, passed away due to a cardiac arrest while recovering from injuries sustained in a skiing accident.
Agnivesh was undergoing treatment at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. According to the family, his condition had been improving, and they were hopeful of his recovery before the unexpected cardiac arrest occurred.
