Air Marshal Nagesh Kapoor: New Vice Chief of Air Force

Air Marshal Nagesh Kapoor took over as the new Vice Chief of the Indian Air Force on January 1. He has assumed this responsibility after the retirement of Air Marshal Narmdeshwar Tiwari. Air Marshal Kapoor brings with him nearly 39 years of exceptional experience in the Air Force. He has served in various roles, from a fighter pilot to a combat leader. Over the years, he has been honored with several prestigious awards including the Air Force Medal in 2008, the Ati Vishisht Seva Medal in 2022, the Param Vishisht Seva Medal in 2025, and the Best War Service Medal.
