Alok Joshi Appointed Chairman of National Security Advisory Board

On April 30, the Indian government reconstituted the National Security Advisory Board (NSAB). Former R&AW (Research and Analysis Wing) chief Alok Joshi has been appointed as the new Chairman of the board.

Other key members now include Air Marshal P.M. Sinha and Lieutenant General A.K. Singh, bringing extensive defense and strategic experience to the advisory body.

The reorganization of the board follows a high-level Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The meeting was convened in response to the recent terror attack in Pahalgam.
