Belarus' top-seeded tennis player, Aryna Sabalenka, won her first Miami Open title on March 29. She defeated the fourth seed American player, Jessica Pegula, with a score of 7-5, 6-2 in the final. With this victory, Aryna received ₹9.4 crore as prize money.

This is Aryna's first title in 2024 after reaching four finals in six events this year. Before the Miami Open, she only won the Brisbane event, while she faced defeats in the finals of the Australian Open and Indian Wells. She had previously won the Australian Open consecutively in 2023 and 2024, and finished the year as the World No. 1 player.

In the 2024 US Open final, Aryna had also defeated Jessica Pegula 7-5, 7-5. She went on to win the Miami Open semi-final match on March 28, 2025, by defeating Italy’s Jasmine Paolini 6-2, 6-2.
