ASI Returns Maa Vagadevi Picture, Hanuman Chalisa Recitation at Bhojshala

In a historic event at Bhojshala, the Hindu community performed a victory with the recitation of Hanuman Chalisa (Satyagraha). The picture of Maa Vagadevi, which was confiscated on 9th December, was returned by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). As the doors of Bhojshala opened and the Hindu community entered the sanctum sanctorum, they found the confiscated picture placed there.

The new picture was worshipped, and afterward, the recitation of Hanuman Chalisa took place. The Hindu society called it a victory, stating that the administration had cooperated. They hope that the administration will continue its support on 23rd January, so that the Hindu community can celebrate Vasant Panchami with full enthusiasm at Bhojshala. It is noteworthy that on 2nd December, the Hindu community had brought a new picture to replace the traditional oil painting, but this was confiscated by the police on the orders of ASI officials.

The Bhoj Utsav Committee officials expressed their displeasure over this. They raised the issue with the police and administration and stated that if the picture was not returned by 9th December, a future Satyagraha would take place without the oil painting of Maa Vagadevi.
