Hospital Verification by Bhopal Team
A team from the State Health Authority (SHA), Bhopal, conducted verification on Saturday across Indore’s public and private hospitals to assess the implementation of the Ayushman Bharat scheme. The objective was to ensure that the benefits of the scheme are reaching eligible beneficiaries appropriately.
Multiple two-member teams were deployed for the verification, inspecting around 50 private hospitals during the first phase. They collected information through both online checks and physical document verification.
Key Focus Areas of the Inspection
The central team, as part of a surprise audit, reviewed:
- Whether hospitals are properly implementing the Ayushman Bharat scheme
- How benefits are being delivered
- Any discrepancies in approved claims and submitted documents
Hospitals Audited
As per sources, by June 28, the following private hospitals were audited: V-One, Rajshree Apola, Vedanta, Medanta, Choithram, CHL Care, Kibs Hospital, Medicare Square, Gokuldas, Saluja Eye Care, Bhandari Hospital, Index Hospital, Geeta Bhavan, Eminent, Shankara Eye Hospital, Verma Union, Banthia Hospital, among others.
These teams gathered details about online uploads, bills, medical orders, and documentation related to Ayushman claims. Some hospitals were summoned for incomplete or questionable documents, especially regarding approved claims.
