Bangladesh Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman to Visit India

Bangladesh Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman is scheduled to visit New Delhi this week. The visit aims to rebuild trust and strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.

According to a report by a Bangladeshi newspaper citing high-level government sources, the visit from Tuesday (April 7) to Thursday (April 9) will focus on understanding India's position and improving mutual cooperation.

During the visit, Bangladesh will also convey that both nations should work together to enhance relations based on mutual respect and trust, not only during the current government's tenure but also in the long term.

Ahead of his visit, Khalilur Rahman stated, "I am visiting India before attending the Indian Ocean Conference. During my stay in Delhi, I will meet India's External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and several other key government representatives."

He added that the main focus of these discussions will be the future of bilateral relations, emphasizing the need for a relationship based on mutual respect, dignity, and shared interests.
