Behavioral Change Necessary for National Interest: Dr. Mohan Bhagwat
Dr. Mohan Bhagwat, the Chief of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), stated that for the betterment of the nation, a behavioral change is essential, from the family level to the society. He emphasized that for building a healthy, prosperous, and strong society, it is crucial for the virtuous forces to work together in a unified direction.
During his address at the Intellectual Citizens Conference in Siliguri, North Bengal, he mentioned that character building is possible through individuals who have vibrant connections with society. He stressed that each family must regularly practice their ancestral traditions, modern customs, and behaviors that contribute to the national interest.
He also stated that the existence and security of the family depend on society, and thus, contributing to the prosperity of society based on time and ability is essential. On the occasion of the centenary of the RSS, volunteers will go door to door as part of the "Panch Parivartan" campaign to spread the message of five behavioral changes. If the nation can benefit from these changes through behavioral reforms, it would be the true essence of the centenary celebrations.
Regarding the RSS, Dr. Bhagwat dispelled misconceptions, stating that the RSS cannot be understood by confining it to a fixed methodology or traditional organizational structure. He emphasized that no organization like the RSS exists, and its establishment was neither to oppose anything nor to gain anything for itself.
