Bhopal-Chanderi-Orchha Heli Tourism Service Launched
New Initiative to Boost Tourism
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has taken a significant step toward making tourism and religious travel in Madhya Pradesh more accessible, safe, and enjoyable. On Sunday, April 19, at 10:45 AM, the new sector (Bhopal-Chanderi-Orchha) under the “PM Shri Heli Tourism Service” will be officially launched from the State Hangar in Bhopal.
The Chief Minister will flag off the helicopter and also distribute boarding passes to passengers on this occasion.
Boost to Religious and Heritage Tourism
This new route will connect Bhopal with Orchha, known as the kingdom of Lord Ram, and Chanderi, famous for its rich historical heritage.
Devotees will be able to easily visit the Ram Raja Temple in Orchha, while tourists can explore Chanderi’s cultural heritage and its famous handloom industry, especially Chanderi sarees.
Service Details and Pricing
The service will operate five days a week under Sector-2.
- Fare from Bhopal to Chanderi: ₹5,500
- Fare from Bhopal to Orchha: ₹6,500
- Special package: ₹14,500 (includes taxi, VIP darshan, and prasad)
- Joy ride in Chanderi and Orchha: ₹3,500
Facilities and Safety
The service is operated under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model with a strong focus on passenger safety. Modern 6-seater helicopters are being used for travel.
At destinations, arrangements for hotels, meals, and guided local tours are pre-planned for tourists.

Background of the Scheme
The PM Shri Heli Tourism Service was initially launched by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav on November 1, 2025, on the occasion of Madhya Pradesh Foundation Day.
The service is already successfully operating in spiritual circuits such as Indore, Ujjain, and Omkareshwar, and wildlife circuits including Jabalpur, Kanha, Bandhavgarh, Chitrakoot, and Maihar.
So far, 2,648 tourists and pilgrims have benefited from this service.
