Bhuvan Rhibhu Becomes First Indian Advocate to Receive 'Medal of Honor'

On May 13, Bhuvan Rhibhu, the founder of Just Rights for Children, was honored with the prestigious 'Medal of Honor' by the World Jurist Association. He is the first Indian advocate to receive this global recognition. The award was presented during the World Law Congress.
Bhuvan Rhibhu has strong ties to Bihar, particularly Araria district, where he collaborates with Jagaran Kalyan Bharati to protect children's rights. Just Rights for Children is the world’s largest legal intervention network focused on child rights and is active in 416 districts across India.
In Araria, the organization works to combat child marriage and child trafficking. Under Rhibhu’s legal and strategic guidance, the goal is to make Araria child-marriage-free by 2030. His efforts have influenced child rights policies both at the state level and in the Araria district.
