man has solved so many mysteries but still nature remains unconquerable for us .
Despite knowing this, man is continuously engaged in exploring the miracles of
nature. One of these passions is mountaineering . Mountaineering has bright
employment opportunities along with adventure . Today, along with being a
hobby, mountaineering has also become a source of employment for the youth.
This field attracts young men and women who are daring and take risks .
There is no doubt that mountaineering
teaches the art of discipline because without self-confidence and discipline,
one cannot take even a single step forward in the field of mountaineering. There
are many moments in the life of mountaineers when they find themselves close to
a very big problem . In such a situation, quick decisions have to be taken.
That is, success in this field can be achieved only if one has the ability to take
quick decisions , is determined and has a passion for playing with dangers. To make a career
in the field of mountaineering, it is also very important to have an attachment
to nature. A person who seeks safety of life in natural scenes can make a
bright career in this field .
Those youth who
have the courage to face all kinds of difficulties and problems should make
their future in the field of mountaineering . Mountaineering is considered as an adventurous sport all over the world . However,
whether it is the world's highest peak Mount Everest or any other peak, it is
not easy to climb it. No mountaineer can climb them without any professional training. It is
worth mentioning that from Tenzing Norgay and Edmund Hillary to Bachendri Pal ,
Kami Rita Sherpa Till now many brave young men and women have found their place
in this field and they have also solved many mysteries of nature for the
benefit of mankind.
12-year-old Miss Preeti Parmar of Sehore
district
of Madhya Pradesh has succeeded in climbing Europe's highest mountain
Elbrus. Preeti started climbing from the base camp on 16 August 2024 and
reached the summit within 9 hours. Bhagwan Singh Kushwaha hoisted the tricolor
on Mount Kosciuszko, the highest mountain in the Australian continent. Mr.
Kushwaha reached there first on 15 August 2024 and hoisted the national flag
under the " Har Ghar Tiranga " campaign and made the country and the state proud by singing the national
anthem. Mr. Kushwaha is also the first mountaineer from Madhya Pradesh to
conquer Mount Everest. The Madhya Pradesh government has honored Mr. Kushwaha
with the Vikram Award in adventure sports in the year 2023 and appointed him to
the post of Assistant Grade-3 in the Energy Department Government Service. During
mountaineering , mountaineers explore the mountains so that they can gather as
much information about them as possible . Only those who have the courage to deal with all
kinds of situations and difficulties can succeed in the field of
mountaineering.
The main activities involved in
mountaineering are as follows -

Climbing - mountain height , mountain nature Climbing a mountain keeping these in mind
is called climbing .

Camping - While climbing a mountain, setting up a camp and staying on the mountain
for several days with limited resources and acclimatizing or adjusting oneself
according to the climate there is included in the camping activity.

Snow Trekking - Climbing a snow-covered mountain such as Mount Everest , overcoming temperature and
atmospheric barriers , is called snow trekking .
·
Hiking - Climbing a mountain at a fast pace for a long distance is called hiking. Hiking It is done for the purpose of health benefits and exercise.
Surely
Training is very important to make a career in mountaineering .
A person trained in mountaineering can not only become a successful mountaineer
but can also prove to be helpful in saving lives during disasters like
earthquake. Many types of job oriented courses related to mountaineering have
come into existence. Bachelor's degree course in mountaineering can be
completed in three years. To get admission in this, it is necessary to pass
12th class from any subject group . To get admission in Diploma , Post Graduate Diploma , Advanced Diploma and Professional
Diploma courses, it is necessary to be a graduate in any stream. To get
admission in three and six month certificate courses, it is necessary to pass
10th. Apart from this, there is a huge demand for courses like Search and
Rescue Course, Basic Mountaineering Course, Advanced Mountaineering Course,
Method of Instruction etc.

Basic Mountaineering Course - Basic Mountaineering Course or BMC provides detailed practical training in mountain
climbing on rocks and in ice and snowfall .

Advanced Mountaineering Course - In Advanced Mountaineering Course
or AMC Course, the candidate is given detailed information about the advanced
techniques of mountaineering . In this course, techniques like planning and
execution of expeditions are taught.
·
Search and Rescue ( SAR ) Course –
In the Search and Rescue Course, the candidate is given in - depth knowledge
of first aid in rescue situations during mountaineering as well as navigation
techniques for searching .
·
Method of Instruction Course - Method of Instruction This course called ( MOI ) prepares the candidate to become an instructor for
mountaineering and allied sports.
Before admission to
a mountaineering course from a reputed institute of
mountaineering , the candidate has to pass difficult exams like physical
fitness and running . After getting proper training in mountaineering, you can
do mountaineering related work in a public or private institute . There are
many institutes which give proper training to talented and courageous youth and
employ them as personnel on good salary. Apart from this, after training, one
can also get appointed in a mountaineering club . If you want, you can also
start your own self-employment. There is no dearth of possibilities in the
field of self-employment.

Climbing Guide - Climbing guides provide accurate information about mountains to climbers .
For this , they have knowledge about weather conditions and different routes of
mountains so that they can issue warnings to climbers in case of landslides or
temperature changes and can save the lives of climbers .

Trek Organiser - Trek Organiser He looks after the entire arrangement of trekking . For
this, the trek organizer promotes his trek companies through websites , YouTube
and invites people of his area for trekking and gives them a complete plan of
trekking and also gets it executed .
·
Trek Leader - Trek leader leads a trekking group. This job requires good communication
skills along with mountaineering skills .
·
Liaison Officer - They contact the Mukhiyas and Sarpanchs of the villages near the mountains and provide
necessary help to the mountaineers. Recruitment for this post is done at the
government level.
