Centre Releases Draft Rules for VB-G RAM G Employment Guarantee Act
The Government of India released draft rules for the VB-G RAM G Act on May 23 for public consultation.
The Act is scheduled to be implemented from July 1 across all states and union territories, as per an earlier official notification.
According to provisions under Section 33 of the Act, stakeholders have been invited to provide feedback before finalizing the draft rules.
Officials from the Ministry of Rural Development stated that the rules aim to establish a strong institutional, administrative, and financial framework for implementation across the country.
The Viksit Bharat - Guarantee for Employment and Livelihood Mission (Rural) replaces the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA).
