CM Mohan Yadav Inaugurates 60 MW Solar Plant in Indore

A solar power plant built by the Indore Municipal Corporation at a cost of ₹300 crore has been completed in Indore. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurated the plant on April 29.

The plant will generate 60 megawatts of electricity, which will help the municipal corporation save around ₹50 crore in electricity expenses incurred in pumping Narmada water to the city.

Preparations for the inauguration event were actively carried out by the Mayor and his team, and all councilors were instructed to mobilize public participation for the program.

The solar plant has been developed in Jalud on 210 acres of land near the banks of the Narmada River, from where water is pumped to Indore. With a capacity of 60 MW, the electricity generated from this plant is expected to save the corporation approximately ₹4 to ₹5 crore every month.
