CS Shetty (Challa Srinivasulu Shetty) was appointed as the chairman of the country's largest lender bank SBI (State Bank of India). According to tradition, the chairman is appointed from among the current managing directors of SBI. Usually the most senior managing director becomes the chairman of the bank. Shetty has also led various task forces and committees formed by the Government of India. He has also overseen the retail and digital banking segment of the bank.
