Delhi Petrol-Diesel Vehicle Fuel Ban Postponed Until November 1
The fuel restriction on end-of-life (EOL) or overage vehicles in Delhi has been postponed until November 1. The decision was made during a meeting of the Air Quality Management Commission (CAQM) held on Tuesday. Diesel vehicles older than 10 years and petrol vehicles older than 15 years are considered EOL vehicles.
According to the previously issued directives, these vehicles were supposed to be denied fuel from July 1 in Delhi. However, the deadline has now been extended until October 31.
Delhi's Environment Minister, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, had requested the CAQM on July 3 to halt the action against these vehicles.
