The historic city of Dhar in Madhya Pradesh has achieved a major milestone in the direction of women’s safety and empowerment.

Under the Government of India’s ambitious “Safe City” project 2026, Dhar has been selected to make public spaces safer, more accessible, and fear-free for women and girls.

Objective of the Safe City Project

The main objective of this project is to improve urban safety infrastructure and ensure a secure environment for women in public spaces.
