Establishment of new thermal power station will give super power to industrial development in the state

On 27 November, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that new thermal power stations will be established to speed up industrial development in Madhya Pradesh. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has approved the allocation of coal for coal based power generation. Thermal power stations will be established to generate 4100 MW of electricity. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav thanked Prime Minister Shri Modi and said that he has given opportunities for progress to all departments. He knows that development is not possible without electricity. This is a big opportunity, through which we can set up our own power plants in the state itself.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that we are still in a surplus situation in the field of power generation, but as a result of establishment of new industries for industrial development, the consumption of electricity is also increasing continuously. From the future point of view, we will also need new thermal power stations. This coal allocation will work like a lifesaver in that. We will inspire entrepreneurs to establish new thermal power stations. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the state is also moving forward equally towards renewable energy.

It is noteworthy that on the basis of assessment of the upcoming long-term electricity demand of Madhya Pradesh, on November 27, the high level inter-departmental committee of the Government of India, on the basis of the presentation of the Energy Department of the state, has approved the allocation of coal for setting up a new thermal power plant of a total of 4100 MW. In this regard, a tender will be issued by the Energy Department of the state for setting up the plant. This will bring an investment of about Rs 25 thousand crore. Along with this, thousands of youth will get direct and indirect employment opportunities. The state will supply cheap and quality energy for industry, domestic and agricultural irrigation and will remain self-reliant in energy production.
