Dr. Fatima Jalid Included in 'She Is - 75 Women in Chemistry'

Date: 14th February (KIP) - Dr. Fatima Jalid from the Chemical Engineering Department of the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar has achieved a remarkable feat by being included in the prestigious book "She Is - 75 Women in Chemistry". This publication highlights the contributions of 75 extraordinary Indian women who have made a significant impact in the field of Chemistry and related areas.

In honor of her outstanding achievement, Professor MA Shah, President of the Faculty Society, and Professor Seemin Rubab, along with the laboratory team, felicitated Dr. Jalid at the Medicinal Garden of NIT Srinagar. Congratulating her, Professors Shah and Rubab praised her dedication and contribution to the field of Chemistry and emphasized the importance of such achievements in inspiring young minds in the fields of science and research.

Dr. Jalid, an esteemed alumna of NIT Srinagar, had graduated with a gold medal in 2015 before pursuing her Ph.D. from IIT Delhi. Her research, which has been widely recognized and published in prominent journals, earned her the Gandhi Youth Technical Innovation Award in 2018. Her inclusion in "She Is - 75 Women in Chemistry" is a testament to her exceptional work in sustainable chemical processes and her role as a trailblazer for women in STEM fields.
