Fraud in Doctor's Attendance Using Sarathak App

A shocking fraud has come to light in the healthcare services of the capital. Doctors, who are supposed to be the guardians of patients, are now trying to cheat the system and receive salaries while sitting at home using technology. This issue has come to light at the Chief Minister's Sanjeevani Clinic located in Gautam Nagar, where doctors were marking their attendance through the Sarathak App while being hundreds of kilometers away from their workplace.

The irregularity was discovered during a routine review of the app conducted by the CMHO office. The investigation revealed that not only were the doctors absent from their workplace, but they were also misleading the department by tampering with the system. In response to this serious negligence, the CMHO has taken a strict stance and issued show-cause notices to two doctors.

Location 600 KM Away, Faces Altered in Photos

The review report highlighted two major issues. The first case is from the Chief Minister's Sanjeevani Clinic in Gautam Nagar, where Dr. Sanjeev Singh, a medical officer, marked his attendance from a location 500 to 600 kilometers away from his workplace. Not only that, his regular attendance was being marked from about 11 kilometers away from the clinic.

The second case is from the Chief Minister's Sanjeevani Clinic in Bagh Mugalia, where the doctor, Dr. Minhaj, was found to have tampered with the app. His attendance records showed different people's faces, which clearly indicated 'proxy attendance' or technical manipulation.

Endangering Patients' Lives

The absence of these doctors has directly impacted the patients visiting the clinic. The lack of doctors has affected the priority of medical treatment. The department has considered this as an illegal act and contrary to government responsibilities. If the response to the show-cause notice is not satisfactory, stringent legal actions, including suspension, may be taken against these doctors.
