Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, has become the richest person in Asia, surpassing Mukesh Ambani for the third time in five years.
According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Adani's net worth has reached $92.6 billion (approximately ₹8.59 lakh crore). Previously, Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani held the top position in Asia with a net worth of $90.8 billion (approximately ₹8.42 lakh crore).
Net Worth Changes This Year
- Gautam Adani: His net worth increased by $8.1 billion (₹75.11 thousand crore) this year. The rise in Adani Group shares significantly boosted his wealth.
- Mukesh Ambani: His wealth declined by $16.9 billion (₹1.57 lakh crore) this year, mainly due to a fall in Reliance Industries' share prices.
In a single day, Gautam Adani's net worth jumped by $3.56 billion (₹33.01 thousand crore), helping him overtake Ambani.
Although Ambani's net worth also increased by $76.7 million (₹712 crore), it was not enough to match Adani's rapid growth.
