- Thanya Nathan C is set to become Kerala’s first 100% visually impaired woman judge. She topped in the Persons with Disabilities category. At 24 years old, she will become India’s second fully blind judge. In 2013, Brahmanand Sharma from Rajasthan became India’s first blind judge. The world’s first 100% blind judge was Sir John Anthony Wall from the United Kingdom.
- ISRO has identified a safe landing site named Mons Mountain near the Moon’s South Pole for the Chandrayaan-4 mission, scheduled for 2028. This will be India’s first lunar sample-return mission, bringing samples from the Moon back to Earth.
- England’s Jos Buttler became the third-highest run scorer in T20 World Cup history, scoring 1039 runs in 36 matches. Virat Kohli holds the record for the most runs in T20 World Cup history, followed by Rohit Sharma in second place.
- According to the U.S. Green Building Council, China ranks first and India ranks second globally in LEED-certified green building space. The United States is not included in this particular list. India has achieved LEED certification for 16 million gross square meters of building space.
- At the organic products trade fair Biofach held in Nuremberg, Germany, India was honored as the “Best Country of the Year.” This recognition has been awarded to India after 14 years. A total of 67 exhibitors from India participated in the event.
