General Knowledge Facts – 21 March 2026
- Tata Group Chairman Natarajan Chandrasekaran has been awarded the Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire (KBE) by the United Kingdom. He received this honor for strengthening India-UK trade and investment relations. KBE is one of the highest honors in the UK.
- India will host the World Indoor Athletics Championship 2028 for the first time. The tournament will be held at the Kalinga Indoor Athletics Stadium in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. This is India's first and only indoor athletics stadium.
- Three Indian properties have been included in Time Magazine’s “World’s Greatest Places” list. These include Oberoi Rajgarh Palace Resort in Khajuraho, Mhaaro Khet in Jodhpur, and Shakti Himalaya Prana Lodge in Kumaon.
- Agriculture Insurance Company of India has launched the “Krishi Sakhi” initiative. The aim is to raise awareness among women farmers about crop insurance and financial security, and to encourage their participation in agriculture.
- Chandrika Pujari, a 17-year-old from Pune, won a gold medal in the women’s 51 kg category at the World Boxing Future Cup held in Bangkok. India secured a total of 5 medals in the tournament: 1 gold, 3 silver, and 1 bronze.
