GLA University Ranks 7th in NPTEL National Ranking

Based on students' exceptional performance, GLA University Mathura has achieved remarkable success by ranking 7th in India and 1st in Uttar Pradesh in the NPTEL (National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning) National Rankings. This marks the university's 5th time achieving this top rank.

In the last six years, more than 50,000 students from GLA University have registered for the NPTEL local chapter courses through the SWAYAM platform, which is operated by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. Out of these, over 40,000 students have successfully earned certificates.

For the January-April 2024 session, over 8,700 students registered, of which 8,000 students were successful. Among them, 450 were top performers, including 67 Gold, 1791 Silver, and 4315 Elite certificates. Over 1,000 students earned the prestigious NPTEL Star recognition, with subject-wise ratings in Management and Multi-Disciplinary fields.

In May 2025, SWAYAM released the NPTEL local chapter rankings, which include the top 200 performing institutions in India. In this ranking, GLA University secured the 1st position in Uttar Pradesh and 7th nationally. GLA University has earned the highest ranking of AAA in the NPTEL Local Chapter, placing it among the leading institutions of the country.

Dr. Rajesh Kumar Bhardwaj, the local chapter coordinator of NPTEL at GLA, said, "In the last six years, more than 16,000 students have registered for various certificate courses through the SWAYAM platform. This ranking proves that GLA University is not only providing top-tier education in the state but also at the national level, in fields such as Engineering, Management, and Science. The courses offered on the platform are highly beneficial for students' skill and entrepreneurial development."
