According to Expert Market Research, the global yoga market, which was valued at USD 37.4 billion in 2019, is projected to reach USD 66 billion by 2027. From 2021 to 2027, an average annual growth rate of 9.6% is expected.

With yoga's growing appeal in countries like the USA and Australia, there has been a surge in demand for yoga services and products such as yoga mats and apparel. Many yoga teachers are now setting up their own studios and earning a stable income.
Visa Opportunities for Yoga Instructors
In December last year, under the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with Australia, India secured an agreement to allow hundreds of yoga instructors to receive visas each year. This indicates rising international demand for Indian yoga professionals.

A recent research report suggests that the yoga apparel market could reach USD 39 billion by 2028. Arvind Maheshwari, Director of Gravolite India, a yoga mat manufacturing company, stated that their business has more than doubled in the past five years. Notably, sales spike every year during the first and second weeks of June due to Yoga Day.
