Gold Hits ₹1.40 Lakh per 10g, Silver ₹2.56 Lakh per Kg in India
Due to global instability, gold and silver prices in India surged to record highs. In the bullion market, the price of 24-carat gold increased by ₹3,327 to reach ₹1,40,449 per 10 grams. Previously, it was ₹1,37,122 per 10 grams.
According to the India Bullion Jewellers Association (IBJA), the 22-carat gold price rose from ₹1,25,604 to ₹1,28,651 per 10 grams. The price of 18-carat gold increased from ₹1,02,842 to ₹1,05,337 per 10 grams.
Silver prices also surged by ₹13,968, reaching ₹2,56,776 per kilogram, up from ₹2,42,808 per kilogram. Both spot and futures markets recorded strong gains.
On MCX, gold prices for the February 5, 2026 contract rose by 1.97% to ₹1,41,558 per 10 grams. Silver prices for the March 5, 2026 contract increased by 4.74% to ₹2,64,700 per kilogram.
This unprecedented surge marks an all-time high for both precious metals in India, reflecting the impact of global market fluctuations on domestic bullion rates.
