Government to Offer 30% Subsidy for Hospitals Near Highways
On the occasion of Baba Saheb Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s birth anniversary, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav launched the 'Seva Prakalp' initiative under the theme "Seva hi Sangathan" at the BJP state office on Tuesday.
During the event, the Chief Minister announced that the government will provide up to 30% subsidy for establishing hospitals near highways. With a large number of national and state highways in Madhya Pradesh, the initiative aims to ensure immediate medical treatment for road accident victims.
He also stated that due to the rising number of heart attack cases, the government is currently establishing super specialty hospitals at the divisional level and plans to expand them to every district in the future.
Under the service initiative, the BJP medical cell will organize eye check-up camps across villages, and free spectacles will be provided to needy citizens. Two helpline numbers, 9203597200 and 9203697200, have been issued for medical assistance and information.
The Chief Minister also criticized previous Congress-led central governments for strict regulations under the Medical Council of India (MCI), which made it difficult to establish medical colleges, leading to migration of talent. He added that after the formation of the Modi-led government, the number of medical colleges has significantly increased.
