Gujarat to Celebrate World Sanskrit Day with 3-Day Festival
Gandhinagar, Gujarat: The Chief Minister's Office (CMO) of Gujarat announced on August 4 that the state government will celebrate World Sanskrit Day by organizing a special three-day event from August 6 to August 8, 2025 under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel.
World Sanskrit Day is observed every year on the full moon day (Purnima) of the Hindu month of Shravan, which also coincides with the festival of Raksha Bandhan. To promote this ancient language, Sanskrit Week is celebrated across India.
This year, World Sanskrit Day falls on August 9, 2025, while Sanskrit Week will be observed from August 6 to August 12, 2025.
