There is good news for the disabled youth of Madhya Pradesh. The High Court has issued an order stating that candidates with 100% disability will be given priority for government jobs. The Indore bench of the Madhya Pradesh High Court made this decision, stating that failure to comply would result in the cancellation of advertisements. On March 4, the court annulled the advertisements for Indore, Kannod, and Jawra municipal bodies, ensuring compliance with this order.
Previously, various departments in Madhya Pradesh had employed partially disabled youth, while fully disabled candidates were also applying. Some cases had even seen candidates being hired for positions they were not qualified for. After this, fully disabled individuals filed petitions in the High Court requesting that they be given job opportunities. In response, Justice Subodh Abhyankar canceled the advertisements for the Skill Development Department and the municipal bodies of Kannod, Jawra, and Indore. The court also directed that within 4 months, recruitment should prioritize severely disabled candidates, ensuring that 100% disabled individuals are given first preference in job openings.
