Maa Vagdevi Installed at Bhojshala After 700 Years of Wait
After a long wait of nearly 700 years and a prolonged legal battle, Maa Vagdevi (Goddess Saraswati) has been installed at Bhojshala, located in Dhar, Madhya Pradesh. The installation took place following a significant court decision and the presence of saints, along with Vedic chants and rituals.
The Indore High Court recently declared Bhojshala as a temple dedicated to Maa Vagdevi. The court also directed the government to make efforts to bring the idol of the goddess back from London, where it is currently believed to be located.
Following the court’s verdict, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav stated that the state government would work in coordination with the central government to implement the court’s decision.
In Bhojshala, a sacred oil painting of Maa Vagdevi was installed in the sanctum sanctorum, and an eternal flame (Akhand Jyoti) was lit in the presence of priests and Vedic chanting, marking the ceremonial beginning of worship.
