Hypersonic Missiles to Boost India’s Strength

India has achieved a major breakthrough in hypersonic missile technology, capable of traveling at speeds over five times that of sound, potentially changing the future of warfare. These missiles are virtually undetectable by radar or air defense systems.

The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has successfully tested an advanced engine that positions India among the few countries possessing this unbeatable technology.

According to IANS, under the hypersonic missile program, DRDO successfully conducted a long-duration test of the “actively cooled full-scale scramjet combustor.” This scramjet combustor allows the missile to reach speeds of 6,100 kilometers per hour, also referred to as Mach 5+.
