ICAI Creates Guinness World Record with Largest Career Counseling Program
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) organized the largest career guidance session and entered the Guinness World Records. The Confederation of All India Traders (CAT) and ICAI will also launch a national campaign to strengthen MSMEs and business ecosystems.
The super mega career counseling program “Bhavishya Ki Rah” held in Mumbai included 6,166 students in accounting and finance career guidance, setting the record. Over 7,400 participants, including students, teachers, and principals, attended the program.
ICAI President, Charanjot Singh Nanda, described it as a proud moment for the institute, stating that reaching so many students in a single session will help them make informed career decisions. The program aimed to provide accurate career guidance for students from class 6 to graduation across humanities, science, commerce, and emerging subjects related to the evolving economy.

ICAI and CAT will soon launch a national campaign to strengthen MSMEs and business networks. The collaboration will focus on awareness programs for compliance, financial discipline, and skill development among small businesses across India. Charanjot Singh Nanda said this partnership will enhance the financial and operational capacity of MSMEs. Praveen Khandelwal, MP from Chandni Chowk and CAT National Secretary, emphasized that in the current economic scenario, compliance forms the basis of business reliability and stability.
