भारत-अमेरिका के वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों की होमलैंड सुरक्षा वार्ता (एचएसडी) आज नई दिल्ली में आयोजित की गई। श्री अजय भल्ला, गृह सचिव, गृह मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार और सुश्री क्रिस्टी कैनेगलो, कार्यवाहक उप सचिव, अमेरिकी होमलैंड सुरक्षा विभाग ने संबंधित प्रतिनिधिमंडलों का नेतृत्व किया।
बातचीत के दौरान, दोनों पक्षों ने आतंकवाद-रोधी और सुरक्षा क्षेत्रों में चल रहे सहयोग की समीक्षा की, जो भारत-अमेरिका रणनीतिक साझेदारी का एक प्रमुख स्तंभ रहा है। इस संदर्भ में, उन्होंने आतंकवाद और हिंसक उग्रवाद, मादक पदार्थों की तस्करी, संगठित अपराध से निपटने और परिवहन सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने के लिए द्विपक्षीय प्रयासों को मजबूत करने के लिए उठाए जा सकने वाले कदमों पर चर्चा की।
The India-US Senior Officials Homeland Security Dialogue (HSD) was held in New Delhi today. Shri Ajay Bhalla, Home Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India and Ms. Christy Canegalo, Acting Deputy Secretary, US Department of Homeland Security led the respective delegations.
During the talks, both sides reviewed the ongoing cooperation in counter-terrorism and security areas, which has been a key pillar of the India-US strategic partnership. In this context, they discussed steps that could be taken to strengthen bilateral efforts to combat terrorism and violent extremism, drug trafficking, organized crime and ensure transportation security.
