इन 143 देशों की खुशहाली मापने के लिए 6 मानकों पर सवाल तैयार किए गए थे। इनमें संबंधित देश के प्रति व्यक्ति की GDP, सामाजिक सहयोग, उदारता और भ्रष्टाचार, सामाजिक स्वतंत्रता, स्वस्थ जीवन के आधार पर रैंकिंग की गई। फिनलैंड ने दुनिया के सबसे खुशहाल देशों की सूची में लगातार 7वीं बार पहला स्थान हासिल किया है। इस लिस्ट में अफगानिस्तान आखिरी पायदान (143वीं रैंक) पर रहा। रिपोर्ट में बताया गया कि सबसे खुशहाल देशों में ज्यादातर देश यूरोपीय हैं।

In these, ranking was done on the basis of GDP per capita of the respective country, social cooperation, generosity and corruption, social freedom, healthy life. Finland has secured first place in the list of the world's happiest countries for the 7th consecutive time. Afghanistan remained at the last position (143rd rank) in this list.
