Indian Army Opens Direct Recruitment for Engineers as Officers
The Indian Army has regularly started direct recruitment for engineering graduates under the Technical Graduate Course (TGC) and Short Service Commission (SSC Tech) entries.
No written examination is conducted for these entries. Selection is based on engineering marks and performance in the SSB (Services Selection Board) interview.

Educational Qualification
Candidates must have completed or be in the final year of a B.E./B.Tech degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
Age Limit
The age limit is generally between 20 to 27 years, depending on the official notification for TGC and SSC Tech entries.
Position and Salary
Selected candidates are directly commissioned as Lieutenants, with an estimated annual CTC of around ₹17 to ₹18 lakh.
Training
Selected candidates undergo training at the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun.
