Indian Scientists Create Carbon-Free Ferrocene-Like Molecule

Indian scientists have achieved a major breakthrough in chemistry by solving a 70-year-old scientific puzzle.

Researchers from IIT Madras and IISc Bengaluru have developed the world’s first completely carbon-free (carbon-free) ferrocene-like molecule.

In this new molecular structure, carbon has been replaced with boron, while iron has been substituted with osmium, marking a significant advancement in chemical science.

This discovery is expected to open new pathways in advanced material science and molecular chemistry research.
