Indian Women Boxers Shine with Golden Performance at Asian Championship
The Indian women’s boxing team delivered an शानदार performance at the Asian Boxing Championship 2026, finishing at the top of the medal tally. Team India secured a total of 10 medals, including 4 gold medals, showcasing their dominance in the tournament.
Under the guidance of coach Santiago Nieva, the team performed exceptionally well. Boxing Federation of India President Ajay Singh was also present during the event.

Meenakshi Starts the Golden Run
Meenakshi initiated India’s gold medal streak in the 48 kg category by defeating Mongolia’s Nomundari Enkh-Amgalan with a dominant 5-0 victory.
Priya Wins Gold
Priya delivered an impressive performance in the 60 kg category, defeating North Korea’s Won Un-Gyong with a 3-0 win to secure another gold medal for India.
Arundhati and Priti Add to Gold Count
Arundhati won gold in the 70 kg category by defeating Kazakhstan’s Bakit Seidish with a 4-1 scoreline.
Priti also secured a gold medal, taking India’s total gold count to four and ensuring the team finished at the top position in the championship.

- Alfiyan Pathan (80+ kg) also won a silver medal
