India’s First Barrier-Free Toll Plaza Launched in Gujarat
India Launches First Barrier-Free Toll Plaza in Gujarat
High-speed travel on highways is now becoming a reality as India introduces its first barrier-free toll system.
The Choryasi toll plaza on the Surat-Bharuch stretch of NH-48 in Gujarat has become the first in India to implement a Multi-Lane Free Flow (MLFF) barrier-less tolling system.
Announced by Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari, this system allows vehicles to pass through toll points without stopping, enabling seamless and faster travel.
This innovative technology is expected to reduce congestion, eliminate long queues, and modernize India’s highway infrastructure significantly.
